Cold machine wash with like fabrics on gentle or delicate setting, line dry or tumble dry low. Avoid bleach or fabric softener— it doesn’t get softer than CleanBamboo™!

Tips
Wrinkle free

Shake out bedding and sleepwear between washing and drying. Remove immediately after drying, or line dry if preferred. If desired, iron at a low temperature.

Pilling prevention

Some pilling is normal for natural fibers. To prevent excess pilling, avoid fabric softeners, dryer balls and friction with other rough fabrics.

Our bamboo comforters are dry clean only to preserve the softness and delicate nature of the organic bamboo filling. We recommend researching your local green dry cleaner for a more eco-friendly option.

Is there an eco-friendly detergent you recommend?

We recommend any mild, eco-friendly detergent. We also encourage opting for natural detergents like baking soda or white vinegar. Chemical-free soap nuts are another popular alternative to traditional detergent.

Uh oh, I’ve got stains on my Derme Homes products—what should I do?

Bleach can permanently damage our delicate CleanBamboo™ fabric. For removing light stains, try a pre-soak in mild, eco-friendly detergent. Before using stain remover, we recommend testing on the reusable drawstring bag your bedding arrived in.

Can I use a fabric brightener on my sheets?

Avoid any harsh chemicals on your CleanBamboo™ products. We encourage using a baking soda and vinegar mixture as a mild bleach-like alternative. Start by adding 1/2 cup of baking soda to the wash cycle. Next, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar during the rinse cycle. These two ingredients can help brighten white fabrics. Avoid combining them, as this causes a chemical reaction.Use with care on light or white fabrics only. Kindly note this method could cause fading on dark colors.

Have any additional questions?

How often do you have to wash my derme home sheets?

Regular sheets are typically recommended to be washed weekly. However, doing so on a regular basis can be time-consuming for most people.

That’s why derme home offers bed sheets that prevent up to 99.9% of bacteria growth so they can be washed up to an estimated 3x times less than traditional sheets in cold to medium water with a gentle detergent.

How should I wash my derme home bedding?

Following these guidelines ensures the longevity of your Derme Home bedding, preserving the softness of bamboo fibers and the antimicrobial properties of the Ag+ infusion for a comfortable and hygienic sleep experience.

Do I have to wash my derme home before first use?

Yes, although not entirely necessary, washing clothes and bedding before use is always the best practice.

What acne/skincare products should I avoid?

To maintain the effectiveness of your Derme Home bedding and its Ag+ infusion, avoiding skincare products containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid is advisable.

These ingredients, commonly found in acne treatments, may interact with the silver ions in the Ag+ infusion, potentially diminishing their antimicrobial properties.

Opt for gentler skincare products that do not contain these active ingredients to ensure the longevity of your bedding’s performance.

Why are there orange staining ?

If you’re noticing any orange stains on your Derme Home bedding with real silver, don’t worry about it. It’s a natural reaction between silver ions and certain substances. This can happen due to the usage of some skincare products, exposure to sulfur-containing items, or even contact with natural body oils.

To keep your bedding looking fresh, it’s better to avoid skincare products with tricky ingredients, follow our care instructions, and use a gentle, silver-friendly detergent. These simple steps will help your silver-infused bedding stay vibrant.
