Product Care
Take care of your Derme Home bedsheets,
and they will take even better care of you.
Give your Organic Bamboo Silver sheets room – wash them separately every 10-15 days.
We recommend washing them inside out in a laundry bag in cold water.
Use a mild/gentle detergent (check our blog recommendations)
Do not bleach, use any fabric softener, rub, or wring your bamboo sheets.
Remove from wash promptly after the cycle has finished.
If you have hand-washed your bedding and need to remove any excess water, it’s best to wrap your bedding in a clean towel and roll it up to remove this.
Preferably, hang to air-dry. (Best for the environment, too) If not, tumble dry on low only.
Give your sheets a good shake after washing, then dry them on the line in the shade.
Avoid drying outside in the harsh sun, which can cause colors to fade.
If you decide to use a dryer, use the tumble dry on delicate setting (no heat).
We recommend removing your bedding from the dryer before it’s completely dry and hang flat in the shade to finish.
Avoid using pegs, as this may mark the fabric during drying.
Ironing your organic bamboo bedding is only sometimes necessary.
All organic bamboo products wrinkle after washing, but the threads will relax and straighten after a few nights’ use.
If you prefer to iron (if your in-laws are coming to stay), use the lowest/delicate setting available and always inside out (or on the reverse side).
You can also place a cloth between the iron and your organic bamboo item.
Thoroughly dry your sheets before putting them away to prevent any potential mold growth.
Avoid storing sheets in plastic, as they need to breathe just like you do.
To avoid creases and marks, store your Derme Home bedding at the top of your fabrics.
